Proud to be a Swayamsevak: Modi


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday attended a meeting between Sangh Parivar outfits and the government on the final day of the deliberation, where a wide range of issues have figured. Addressing the meet PM Modi said that he is proud to be a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS).

Several top ministers of Modi government have participated in the deliberations on key issues including internal security, naxal problem and situation in Jammu & Kashmir.

Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Manohar Parrikar, Venkaiah Naidu and Anant Kumar were among senior Union ministers who attended the deliberations where they spoke about the measures taken by them in relation to the issues raised by the RSS and its affiliates.

RSS Joint General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said the Sangh functionaries who have been active in various schemes of the government had come together to share their experiences with their counterparts in Bharatiya Janata Party.

Challenges before the country concerning internal and external security were discussed during the meeting.

Hosabale said that the meeting also discussed the issue of migration from rural areas and taking steps to address the issue were also discussed
