Protest rocks Valley over killing of youth


Tral: Protests have broken out in Tral district of South Kashmir over the killing of a youth. Two people have been injured in clashes between protesters and security forces.

The youth was killed in a shootout between the Army and terrorists but his relatives have accused the army of a fake encounter. Police claim they got to know the youth had terror links and was meeting a top Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist.

The youth was killed in the crossfire when the Army tried to confront him. A police probe is likely to take place over the incident.
In a recent development, Separatist leaders Masarat Alam, Yasin Malik were detained by police on way to Tral on Tuesday.
