Kolkata: Haunted by frequent strikes and protest, Kolkata is facing another major health crisis as Junior Doctors of the state run SSKM Hospital virtually hold the Super hostage on Saturday.
The junior doctors seized to work demanding adequate security as frequent events of doctors being targeted by the patient’s relatives rocked the hospitals across the state.
Although general services are affected, emergency services are going on as usual. As per reports, a clash between junior doctors and a patient’s relatives rocked SSKM on Friday. Both the parties accused each other of manhandling the other.
The agitating doctors than demanded the deployment of private security service in the hospital campus.
