Prosecution asks court to reject the claims of Salman’s driver

Mumbai: The hearing of Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case has been deferred till April 6 with the prosecution making an appeal before the court to reject the claim of Salman’s driver that he was driving the car when the accident happened.

Public Prosecutor Pradeep Gharat told the judge that in 13 years of the incident the presence of a fourth person in the vehicle at the time of the accident never came up.

Questioning Salman’s driver Ashok Singh’s statements last Monday, Pradeep Gharat said that the issue of tyre burst is baseless since Toyota Land Cruiser is a sophisticated, modern vehicle and it would have indicate the driver if any problem occurred within the vehicle.
