Probe in Vadra’s illegal land deal commences


Gurgaon: Probe began on Monday by a one-man Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into a land deal of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra.

According to senior officials, retired Delhi High Court Judge SN Dhingra, who will probe the issue, visited his office for the first time and checked some papers and files related to Vadra’s land deal.

Justice Dhingra held a meeting with officials at his newly-set up office in the Civil Lines area here on Monday.

Gurgaon joint commissioner of police Saurabh Singh has been attached to the inquiry commission for necessary assistance. The commission will submit its report to the government within six months.
