Kolkata: Serving another blow to the ‘Bandh’ struck commoners, private bus owners have called another strike on September 28 in Kolkata, Howrah and 24 Parganas.

The strike was called by Bengal Bus Syndicate (BBS) and is supported by Joint Syndicate (JS) and three more other private bus owners’ organizations. The bandh has been called to protest alleged police atrocities.

The orgonisation has requested chief minister Mamata Banerjee to look into the matter and address their grievances. However, the strike is likely to hit the commuters as private buses forms the backbone the city’s transport system.
