Kolkata: They Do Not have money but they have heart. They are raising funds from their tiffin money. Primary School students are lending a helping hand to those affected by the Kerala floods by raising funds.The primary students of Shyanmbazar AV school will donate funds to the Kerala Chief Minister relief fund through state government.
As Kerala battles its worst flood in nearly a century. About 350 people lost their lives in rain battered Kerala. More than 200,000 families have taken refuge at relief camps. Total 58 groups of national disaster worked there to rescue the flood affected victims. Sixty seven helicopters, twenty four air-crafts and five hundreds forty eight boats are present to there to rescue.
Durga Puja organizers of Kolkata are also extended their helping hands to the Kerala victims. Everyone amazed after they saw that the small boys and girls gave their clothes, toys, to the school authorities. On Thursday, three thousand rupees raised. School authorities added they will collect donations till Saturday.
School teachers also stood beside the students. They also said to raise funds. School Principal Manoranjan Kumar Raptan said that many of their secondary and higher secondary students in the school are coming forward to help.
