Raiganj: The post-mortem report of Raj Kumar Roy, the schoolteacher who was found dead near tracks after he went missing while on duty at a polling booth during the rural polls, shows he died after being hit by a heavy moving blunt object.
It is also says that all the injuries were caused after he was hit, which seems to nullify the allegation that he was murdered.
The deceased’s wife however, is not ready to accept the theory and demanded that post mortem should be conducted again with forensic tests.
“The post mortem report of my husband that was given to me by the hospital authority is very unclearly written and was a photocopy that can be hardly read. I have requested the hospital authority to give me a clear copy. I still believe that my husband did not commit suicide and there was no accident happened. I have also urged to conduct a second post mortem,” Arpita Roy, the deceased teacher’s wife, said.
Ayesha Rani A, district magistrate of North Dinajpur district, said: “Her appeal to conduct a second post mortem is sent to the department concerned.”
