“Pray For Atalji” Nation Prays For The Veteran Leader

New Delhi: India prays for its statesman and stalwart leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee.As per the latest health update by AIIMS press release his condition continues to remain critical and on life-support system on Thursday. Meanwhile, leaders across the country have reached AIIMS to meet Vajpayee. Security measure acround Vajpayee’s residence has been increased.The roads leading to Krishna Menon Marg have been blocked. Roads leading to Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s home have also been sealed.Seeing his condition only a statement that came from every Union and State leader is that “ Pray for Atal Ji”.

“Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s condition continues to be the same. He is critical and is on life support systems,” Dr. (Prof.) Aarti Vij Chairperson Media & Protocol Division, AIIMS said in the latest health bulletin on Vajpayee. The former PM and a BJP leader is under the supervision of Dr Randeep Guleria, a pulmonologist and currently the Director of AIIMS. Doctors are looking after him round the clock.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah, who visited Vajpayee today, said, “His condition is grim, just pray for him,”. Senior BJP leader and former Lucknow MP Lalji Tandon “Just like millions of people in India, I am also praying for Atalji.” Andhra Pradesh chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that he was saddened to hear about the critical health condition of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He added that he was praying for Vajpayee’s speedy recovery.

Entire nation has come together, at this crucial period people of all the religion has come together to pray for Atal Bihari Vajpayee. India is praying for Vajpayee with‘havans’being conducted in his hometown Gwalior and Lucknow, the constituency he represented. Special prayers are being offered for Atal Bihari Vajpayeee’s recovery at the Hanuman Mandir in Delhi’s Connaught Place. Prayers and ‘havans’ are being conducted for the former PM’s recovery in states across the country. Prayers underway at Lucknow’s ND Convent school for Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s recovery. Students and teachers at a Madrassa in Barabanki have been praying for Atal Bihari Vajpayee since morning.Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu , UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, BJP chief Amit Shah, Union Health Minister J P Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari, Suresh Prabhu, Jitendra Singh, Harsh Vardhan and Shahnawaz Hussain , Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani visited AIIMS to enquire about the condition of the former prime minister. BJP veteran L K Advani was also at the hospital to enquire about the health of Vajpayee.

Reportedly, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis,Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee are on there way to reach Delhi to meet Atal Bihari Vajpayee at AIIMS.Meanwhile, PM Modi visited AIIMS second time to meet Vajpayee.

On this morning Arvind Kejriwal came out at his residence to meet supporters and urged them not to celebrate his birthday this year owing to Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s critical health and the floods in Kerala.He also urged them to donate generously to help those in need in Kerala.

In view of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s critical health condition, the Bhartiya Janata Party has suspended all its programmes including its National Executive meeting which was supposed to be held on August 18 and 19. An event scheduled for 20 August where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to launch a book on Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu’s one year in office has also been postponed.
