Ponzi Scam: CBI Raids Residence Of Sun-Plant Agro’s Owner

 Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the residence of Sund-Plant Agro owner on Wednesday. According to sources, CBI raided the house of Sun-Plant Agro limited owner Abodh Kumar Singh in connection with alleged ponzi scam at Kesthopur.

CBI seized many important documents in connection with scam. The CBI had taken over the chit fund scam in 2013. According to the sources, the company took illegally five thousands crores from the market.

CBI also claimed that many officials of the company including owner absconded since four months. But owner’s family stayed here. On the other hand, ten teams of CBI raided ten places across the country.

Earlier, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) found that Sun-Plant Agro was running a ‘collective investment scheme’ without securing necessary approvals and registration.

Sun-Plant Agro was allegedly raising funds in the name of ’sale of plants’ The company is involved in the sale of trees to investors and maintains the same on behalf of purchasers.
