Police releases Malik and Agnivesh


Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik and social activist Swami Agnivesh have been released from jail. They were held by police while marching towards Narbal where a youngster was killed on Saturday morning.

Police arrested separatist leader and JKLF chief Yasin Malik  and Swami Agnivesh during a rally at Srinagar on Saturday.

Earlier the day, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front(JKLF) chief Yasin Malik had started a 30-hour long hunger strike against the government’s supposed rehabilitation programme for Kashmiri Pandits. He wants them to return to their original homes in the valley.

Swami Agnivesh had sparked controversy by sharing stage with separatist leader Yasin Malik on Saturday. As per the reports Agnivesh endorsed the separatist view and was arrested along with Malik by the police.
