Police Recover Crude Bombs in Kolkata

Kolkata: Days after the Bidhannagar municipal poll were conducted amid violence and alleged rigging by Trinamool Congress, police on Monday recovered a stockpile of crude bombs in Baguiati at the heart of Kolkata.

As per reports, the bombs were kept on a sack infront of a tea stall in the area. The locals after getting suspicious informed the police. Bomb squad has been rushed to the spot and the bombs recovered.

The bombs were smuggled to fan trouble during the Salt Lake civic polls, said police. The locals on the other hand complained that it is the incompetency of the force that has boosted the courage of anti-social elements in the area.

It is to be noted that the city has virtually turned into the hub of bomb making units mostly backed by politicians to intimidate voters and terrorize rivals.
