Police mechanism is crumbling within WB: Rahul Sinha

Kolkata: Ahead of the civic polls, the state president of BJP lashed out at the CM and her party TMC. At a press conference on Monday, Rahul Sinha said the protective force within the state is crumbling down. The police are falling prey to the vandalism of TMC workers. The clash at Chapdani is another burning example of the scenario, added Rahul.

Sinha even said that the TMC had launched an attack on police when they failed to recognize the relative of councilor Vikram Gupta. 9 people have been arrested in the incident and have been produced before the court on Monday. Although they have been remanded to jail custody, the act of vandalism displayed by the active workers of TMC is surely shameful, added Rahul.

He went on to say that TMC is installing fear in different parts of the state. They are trying to misuse power, alleged Rahul. The state president said that the TMC workers have carried out an attack of the BJP candidate of ward no.16. He was seen criticizing it also.
