Police- JKLF clashes break out in Srinagar

Srinagar: Violent clash broke out between police and supporters of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front on the street of Maisuma, Srinagar on Wesnesday.

The JKLF supporters had organised a rally on the eve of the death anniversary of Makbul Batt, the founder of the front.

A clash broke out when police prevented the JKLF supporters from taking out the rally. According to reports, protesters threw stone and bricks at the police, the police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The front called a strike after the incident hampering normal life in the area.
