Kolkata: Ambassador of Poland to India, Adam Burakowski, is scheduled to meet three crucial ministers of Bengal government, including the state Industry and Commerce minister Amit Mitra.
Adam Burakowski is also scheduled to meet the state Agriculture minister Asish Banerjee and Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, minister of the state Power and Non-Conventional Energy Sources department.
The meeting with Amit Mitra will take place at 2 pm in the state secretariat, Nabanna, while the meeting of the Ambassador with the state Power minister will take place at 12 noon at Vidyut Bhavan in Salt Lake.
The state Industry and Commerce minister has held a meeting with senior representatives of 35 countries in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The countries have shown interest in investing further in Bengal, with the development in infrastructure and working atmosphere. There was a discussion about various investment plans and it has been considered as a beginning of the preparation for the next BGBS. There was also a discussion on investment in the leather industry, port and infrastructure development.
