Ahmedabad: NJP National President Amit Shah said on Monday that PM Modi’s ‘Vikaasvad’ had beaten Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Jaativaad’ politics after BJP won the elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh and looked set to resume power in Modi’s home state.
The BJP saw tough challenge from Congress in Gujarat and even survived a morning scare when trends showed Congress as leading in majority of seats. BJP will form sixth straight government in Gujarat. Current CM Vijay Rupani won the Rajkot West seat while deputy CM Nitin Patel is leading in Mehsana.
BJP is leading on 99 seats in latest trends. Amit Shah thanked the poeple of Gujarat and HP for showing faith in BJP and voting against devisive politics of Congress. He also took a jibe at senior leaders of Congress blaming them of negative politics.
