PM should listen to people’s ‘Maan ki Baat’


New Delhi: The suspension of the 25 Congress MPs have raised waves of storm across the country with various political parties raising their voices against the suspension. The suspension of the Congress MPs have been condemned by various political parties including the Trinamool Congress and the NCP. NCP has also joined the sit-in demonstration by the Congress leaders outside the Parliament in protest of the suspension whereas TMC declared that they won't be joining the congress in the demonstration.

A host of Congress Leaders including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended the demonstration wearing black badges as a mark of protest. 

Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament Sonia Gandhi said that democracy is being murdered with the suspension of the 25 Congress MPs form the Parliament. 

She said, “It is the Government’s duty to run the Parliament properly, the suspensions are absolutely undemocratic.”

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said, “The suspension of the 25 MPs is no way of resolving the issues. For Parliament to run smoothly, it’s the responsibility of the government to take into concern the issues we have been raising.”

Congress Vice President lashed out at the ruling BJP for suspending Congress MPs. Rahul said, “They can throw us all out of the Parliament, we will not be deterred. The Congress MPs who have been suspened are a symbol, this is being done all across the nation to farmers, students.”

Once again calling for the demand of the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, he said, “I am not asking for their resignation, not the Congress, but the people of India want their resignation.”
