PM Narendra Modi To Campaign In Tripura


New Delhi: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will campaign in Tripura on January 31. The prime minister will address as many as two rallies.

Tripura is going to polls on February 18. Already, BJP president Amit Shah has addressed a rally in the first week of January. The schedule of campaign for Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath is being worked out.

On February 3, Prime minister will be in Guwahati to inaugurate the first global investor summit. BJP’s National Executive Member and Tripura state in charge, Sunil Deodhar told ET, “Modijee is likely to address two rallies on January 31.”

He said that wind of change is blowing fast in Tripura. “On March 3, the day votes will be counted people of Tripura will be freed from the 25 years of misrule of Left Front.” BJP is working on the selection of the candidates. The party is expecting to finalise the list of candidates by end of this week.

A third of the 60 assembly seats are reserved for tribal. BJP announced that it will move Election commission against the CPIM’s alleged forceful donation from government employees.

BJP’s election incharge for Tripura and Assam minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that CPI (M) is collecting around Rs 3,000 from government.
