PM Modi Arrives in Kerala On Two Day Visit


Thiruvananthapuram: Prime minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kochi for a two-day visit to Kerala on Monday in an IAF aircraft. He is leading a 35-member delegation.

Defence minister Manohar Parikkar is also in Kochi. He was received by state governor P Sathasivam, chief minister Oommen Chandy, fisheries minister K Babu, Kochi Mayor Soumini Jain, Ernakulam K V Thomas, MLAs Hibi Eden, chief secretary Jiji Thomson, Cardinal Mar George Alencherry were among those who received him at the naval airport.

He will fly in a helicopter to Thrissur where he is attending a public meeting. Modi will return by road to Kochi and will chair the conference of the joint chief of staff on INS Vikramaditya on Tuesday.
