PM meets opposition ahead of Budget Session


New Delhi: The Budget session starts from Monday. Before that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaches out to the opposition saying that it was the collective responsibility of all parties to run the Parliament.

In an all party meeting called by Parliamentary affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu, to ensure smooth functioning of the Parliament, the PM said that the leaders of all political parties should collectively ensure proper utilization of time in both houses of the Parliament so that the government can work in meeting the hopes and aspirations of the people.

The Budget session will start on Monday with a joint sitting of both the houses of the Parliament which will be addressed by President Pranab Mukherjee.

The government is keen on passing a few ordinances in the Budget session.
