PM inaugurates Indian Science Congress


Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra modi today inaugurated the 102nd Indian Science Congress which is being held at the Kalina campus of University of Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi said, “Previously I had attended the Science Congress in Gujarat and I am proud to attend the congress as the Prime Minister.” He also said that many obstacles can be overcomed with the help of science which increases efficiency and productivity. Modi also added that science has given the nation a special place in front of the whole world.

The five day long congress will be attended by nearly 12000 delegates including eminent scientists and educationists will continue till 7th January. The theme of this year’s congress is ‘Science and Technology for Human Development.
