New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day Rajasva Gyan Sangam conclave – 2016 today in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The interactive session with the top brass of the two revenue collection departments — CBDT and CBEC — were asked to prepare suggestions on “important policy- level and innovative ideas of far reaching impact relating to the legislative and administrative framework of taxation in India”.
The annual conclave is to be attended by the senior tax administrators of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) & Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC).
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will also be holding a session during the two-day conference.
The conclave will deliberate on a host of issues related to services to the taxpayers and effective implementation of fiscal laws and government policies, including measures to curb black money generation and circulation.
