PM Chairs Meeting On National Security


New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a meeting with the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) to discuss over the current security scenario post the surgical strikes on terror launch pads along the LoC.

The Prime Minister was briefed about the situation on the LoC and the International Border.

Security has been heightened across the country since the surgical strikes carried out on the intervening night of September 28 and 29 on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan has intensified cross-LoC firing and shelling since the surgical strikes. Ceasefire across various sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, army camp in Baramulla were among the targets.
