Jalpaiguri: Press Information Bureau of Government of India organised an idea exchange programme through conversation in Jalpaiguri on Wednesday. The programme held in a private housing in presence of the PIB deputy director Ajay Mahamia and Chitra Gupta. This type of programme held for the first time in Jalpaiguri.
Many journalists were present across the district. Jalpaiguri, Maynaguri, Dhupguri, Malbazar, Nagrakata, Gorubathan and other localities journalists were also there. Debjit Sarkar, District Administrator of a nationalized bank has discussed many schemes of India Governemnt.
Approximately fifty journalists were present in the programme. Jalpaiguri Press Club president Pradip Sarkar, Uttarbanga Sangbad Journalist Jyoti Sarkar, TV Today journalist Rajen Pradhan, Abhijit Basu took different subject to discuss and turnes the programme illuminative. The same version will also take place in Darjeeling.
PIB Deputy Director Ajay Mahamia said, “opinion and idea exchange is the sole objective behind the program. It’s nationwide initiative.” The program will stretch and strengthen the road of news media.
