Phase III Elections on Thursday

Kolkata: West Bengal will go into its Phase III elections on April 21, Thursday. Voting will take place on Thursday in four districts, 62 constituencies. Total number of candidates who are contesting Thursday’s election are 818. This year 1 crore 37 thousand voters will cast their fundamental rights on Thursday.

The Election Commission has arranged for central forces who will be Seventy Thousand in number. A total of two thousand police forces will be deployed in the constituencies. For any problem, there will be present two hundred and thirty-six quick response teams to take immediate action.

Special focus will be on all the sensitive constituencies. A few sensitive areas need mention :

Nadia – Constituency 696

Bardhaman – Constituency 1192

Kolkata – Constituency 324
