Petrol Prices Cut by 31 Paisa, Diesel by 71


New Delhi: The prices of petrol has slashed by 31 paisa and diesel by 71 paisa on Tuesday, effective from midnight  tonight. Earlier on June 16, fuel retailers increased petrol prices by Rs 0.64 a litre and cut diesel by Rs 1.35 a litre after aligning them with international prices and adjusting for foreign exchange rates.

On May 16, petrol price was hiked by Rs 3.13 a litre and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre. However, on June 1, companies skipped raising rates by 30-40 paise that had become necessary due to rise in international rates.
