Barrackpore: A sensational news came into notice. A 50 years old lady, Krishna Mukherjee was admitted in hospital with fever. After the blood test, she was diagnosed with Dengue. In these four-days she was shifted to different hospitals and after four-days battle for life she died. But in her death certificate the hospital were she was admitted has mentioned the reason of her death was sepsis.
Reportedly, deceased Krishna Mukherjee was a resident of Shyamnagar in North 24 Paraganas district. According to her family sources, she had fever since last Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, she was admitted to Barrackpore BN Basu Hospital on the advice of a local physician.
On Friday morning her family got the blood test report. According to the blood report Krishna Mukherjee was affected with Dengue. On the same night her condition deteriorated. After re-examination, it was found that she was suffering from meningitis. The Calcutta Medical College Hospital referred her family to shift her to the BN Basu Hospital.
On Friday night, Krishna Mukherjee was admitted to National Medical College Hospital. The situation started getting worse since Saturday morning. She breathed her last breath on Saturday evening. The death certificate given buy the National Medical College Hospital has mentioned that the reason of her death was sepsis. Meanwhile this has raised a question on the medical body yet again in the city.
