Passengers Suffers As Several Express Train Routes Are Diverted


Howrah: Protest lifted on Tuesday after 22 hours of the railway blocked. But there is no end of the pain faced by the passengers. Train services was effected by the protest. Trains in several routes have been canceled from Howrah section. Many trains are delayed. And some trains are diverted in other routes.

As per railway report, the following express trains of South Eastern Railway will remain canceled on Tuesday due to agitation:

  1. Howrah-Puri Dhauli Express
  2. Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express
  3. Santragachi-Purulia Rupashi Bangla Express
  4. Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express
  5. Shalimar-Bhojudih Aranyak Express
  6. Howrah-Puri Lalmati Express via Tatanagar.

Beside this, trains whose routes are changed are – Howrah-Mumbai(CSTM) Duronto Express leaving Howrah today will run via Asansol-Joychandi Pahar-Chandil- Tatanagar. Some Express trains will also run via diverted route.

The Rail Roko has been called off at Nekusini 02.16 am, Khemasuli at 03.15 am , Balichak at 03:40 am & Salboni at 03:25 am on Tuesday.The train service were resumed at all these routes on Tuesday morning onward at 8:54 a.m.

Dhauli Express, Rupasi Bangla Express, Lalmati Express and Barbil Jana Satabdi Express will short originate from Kharagpur. While Ispat Express will originate from Howrah and Aryanak Express from Shalimar. Duronto Express will leave Howrah on time and run through normal route. Howrah – Purulia Lalmati Express via Tatanagar will run from Kharagpur.
