Kolkata: A beauty parlour at Park Street area of Kolkata caught fire at around 7 in the morning on Tuesday. Though it created chaos and panic, no injuries or death is reported.
The parlour suddenly caught fire in the morning when the market area was closed. Locals alerted the Fire Brigade and officials reached the spot with three engines and controlled the fire. The cause of fire is still unknown.
The fire brigade officials believed that fire could have been caused by a short-circuit which is very common in winter days. The parlour was located at Middleton Row in busy Park Street area. The incident disrupted the morning traffic during the wee hours of the day.
Morning commuters had to confront with slow moving traffic in the busy official area. Traffic Control Department said it will take more than 3 hours to bring the traffic to normal.
