Papers Thrown At Lok Sabha Speaker By Samajwadi Lawmaker


New Delhi: Samajwadi Party lawmaker Akshay Yadav threw bits of paper at Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Thursday as opposition parties continued their protests against the notes ban as houses convened.

An angry Ms Mahajan adjourned the house. Action is expected to be taken against Mr Yadav. A united opposition has disrupted Parliament proceedings every day since Parliament convened for the winter session last week.

The winter session of Parliament has seen a united opposition confront the Modi government over demonetization. There has been several interruptions and adjournments so far.

Opposition is very clear that the PM has to come. If he is running away from the debate then what is the point of meeting the home minister, asks Anand Sharma (Congress).
