Baharampur: A BJP leader has been shot amid the political war in Murshidabad ahead of panchayat election. Rabindranath Biswas, BJP block president of Hariharpara is now under treatment in Murshidabad Medical College.
BJP claimed, ruling party TMC is involved behind such act. But TMC has denied the wholw issue. But the incident has spread panic among the locals.
According to local and police source, Rabindranath Biswas is a resident of Kumrodahaghat of Murshidabad which is under Hariharapara police station. He was on his way to home from Baharampur. Few miscreants targeted him near Kantabagan area.
Local people came to the spot after sound of bullet knocked them. They rescued Rabindranath Biswas and informed the party members and family. Locals took immediate action and admitted him to the hospital.
On the other hand, the injured leader has filed FIR in Hariharpara police station. Police started investigation on the incident.
