Panchayat 2018: Calcutta HC Refused To Extend Date Of Nomination Submission


Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Tuesday has dismissed Congress-BJP plea on the Panchayat Election against Election Commission. It has announced that they will not interfere in the election process anymore. The tussle on Panchayat Election collected huge amount of clash throughout state. The condition is increasingly violent.

Congress Camp on HC decision said, they will move to division bench in future to get justice. On the other hand, CPM-Congress-PDS jointly moved to Calcutta High Court claimed terror in nomination submission. BJP raised voice for the deployment of central forces.

The hearing started on Tuesday morning around 10 am in justice Subrata Talukder bench. CPM leader and lawyer Bikashranjan Bhattyacharya showed terrorising videos of panchayat election. He has urged for moving with individual initiative.

On the other hand, Commission informed court, 267 in Zilla Parishad, 1337 in Panchayat Samity, 4097 in Gram Panchayat nomination have been filed till now. After a long conversation, court has dismissed the case. Court clearly stated that it will not interfere in both the cases.
