Pakistani Base Destroyed In Indian Firing

Srinagar: A Pakistani base was reportedly destroyed in Indian firing in Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir, according to a video shared on Sunday.

In the video shared by the Indian Army, the Pakistani flag can be seen upside down, which according to sources, is a signal for SOS (extreme danger/distress).

“Pakistan has put the upside-down country flag inside their base in Akhnoor sector that was destroyed by the Indian Army two days ago,” said a defence source. The Indian army action came in retaliation to repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan.

Earlier in the day, an Indian soldier was killed in firing from Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, defence sources said.

According to the sources, the Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Shahpur area late on Saturday night which continued till Sunday morning. The soldier was critically injured in the firing. He succumbed to his injuries earlier today,” the sources added.
