Pakistan desperate to attack Amarnath: J&K deputy CM

Srinagar: Pointing at the recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the LoC, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy CM Nirmal Singh said that the violations were aimed at facilitating infiltration across the border saying  that Pakistan was desperately trying to disrupt the ongoing Amarnath Yatra in the state.

Speaking to reporters he said, “The Pakistan side is desperate to attack Amarnath Yatra and Vishno Devi Yatra, in the wake of the tightened security in the state and the tough stand of the Central government.”

Singh was addressing a meeting of the party workers on Monday when he said that while Pakistan Army and the ISI are busy in anti-India activities, the intentions of the Pakistan Government are also not clear.

Pointing out at the differences with alliance partner PDP, he said that coalition partners in the state have their own separate agendas and BJP will pull out of the government the day it feels that it is impossible to continue.
