Srinagar: Pakistan on Wednesday resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch Sector.
The Indian Army retaliated strongly. Firing is underway. Earlier, Armed militants ambushed 4 Assam Regiment in Chandel’s Sajik Tampak in Manipur. Two security personnel were injured, while one militant was killed in the encounter.
“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0815 hours in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LoC)”, the spokesman said.
