Pak violates ceasefire in Kotranka in Jammu


Jammu: Pakistan has violated the ceasefire once again across the border by firing at the Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to police, Pakistani Rangers resorted to unproved firing at the BSF posts in the Kotranka area of the R.S. Pura sector at around 1:30 Am. The BSF retaliated to the firing by the Pak forces and the exchange of fire continued for nearly one hour till 2:30 Am.

No casualty has been reported from the Indian side. Nearly a dozen ceasefire violations have been made by Pakistan over the last seven days across the border in the Jammu, samba and Kathua districts creating panic among the villagers. A BSF jawan was also killed on Wednesday in the Pak ceasefire violations.
