New Delhi: Pakistan High Commissioner in India Abdul Basit on Friday said that his nation would continue to help the people of Kashmir in their freedom struggle. While speaking at the Pakistani High Commission on their Independence Day, Basit said, “Pakistan has always tried to maintain cordial relations with India. And this point is also very clear that Pakistan will always help and take the side of the Kashmiris till they get their right. This kind of freedom struggle sometimes takes several years or even ages to be completed. Pakistan will always help the Kashmir people, who are fighting for their freedom.”
The comments of the Pak High Commissioner in New Delhi have raised fresh controversies with nearly 45 incidents of ceasefire violations in the last 45 days along the International Border and cross border terrorism.
