Pak Condemns London Attack, Calls Terrorism A ‘Global Menace’

Islamabad: Pakistan on Sunday called terrorism a global “menace” that needs to be tackled with collective effort and cooperation as it strongly condemned the terror attack in London which claimed six lives.

At least six people were killed and 30 others injured in a terror attack at two central London landmarks in which police shot dead three suspects.  “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific act of terrorism in London in which, reportedly, six innocent people have been killed and dozens have sustained injuries,” the Foreign Office said.  Terrorism is a global menace and hence a common challenge that needs to be tackled with collective effort and cooperation, it said.

It said Pakistan strongly “condemns” the terrorist attack and sympathise with the people and the UK.  “Our heart goes out to the victims and their families. We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families at the loss of their beloved ones and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured. We stand in solidarity with them in their hour of grief,” it said.
