PM chairs meeting for NITI Aayog

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding discussions on the state of economy of the country at NITI Aayog. The meet will focus on finding ways to boost economy as the government prepares to present the General Budget later this month. The meeting will be attended by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and experts such as Mukesh Butani, Nitin Desai, Parthasarathi Shome, Rajiv Lall, Swaminathan Aiyer, Vijay Kelkar, V Reddy, among others .Meanwhile, the first meeting of the Governing Council of the Niti Aayog has been convened by the Prime Minister. The Governing Council of NITI Aayog comprises state chief ministers and Lieutenant Governors of all union territories. It aims to ensure synergy between efforts of different levels of government and emergence of a shared national development framework.
