Lucknow: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi tore into the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday and claimed ‘Allah will defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi’. The statement came after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made condescending remarks at the Hyderabad leader earlier in the day.
Owaisi was brutal in his attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the BJP over their incessant jibes at him. “Ye mulk aapka hai, mera nahi hai? Kya BJP ke khilaaf bolna, Modi ke khilaaf bolna, uski poliices ko criticise karna, RSS ke khilaaf bolna, Yogi par bolna, to kya mulk se bhaga denge? (Is this country only yours, not mine? If I speak against the BJP, PM Modi, the RSS, Yogi, criticise Modi’s policies, will you throw me out of the country?),” he said at an election rally in poll-bound Telangana’s Malakpet. “This is not yogi thinking, this is Modi thinking… Allah hi harayega Modi ko.”
Adityanath had earlier in the day said that if the BJP comes to power in Telangana, he will ensure that AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi flees from the state like the Nizam of Hyderabad.
