Kolkata: State-run super specialty Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital (SSKM) in Kolkata has again made it to the headlines after an infant dies of overheating on Wednesday night.
After the incident, hospital authority ordered a probe and formed a six member investigating team.
As per reports, the infant was moved to the Sick New Born Unit (SNCU) on Monday in a critical condition and allegedly died after the nurse increased the warmer temperature.
The baby’s family accused the hospital staffs of gross negligence and complained that despite several request neither he on duty nurse nor the doctors paid any heed.
Earlier, two infants have died of overheating at Kolkata Medical College.
