Hyderabad: Chiluveri Srucham a resident of Jagtial in Telengana was too happy to receive a parcel containing (as he thought) a smart phone from Flipkart, which he ordered during a mega bonanza offer.
After opening the parcel he was stumped as instead of a dazzling smart phone, ripe ready to eat mangoes popped up from the parcel. He had placed the order for an Asus phone, Zenfone 5, priced at Rs 8,099 and instead got mangoes worth of Rs 150 perhaps.
When the man contacted Flipkart customer care service team, he was told that he would be refunded within 24 hours. However he was later refused any replacement by Flipkart.
Srucharan, an electrical engineer, had used his credit card while placing the order on Flipkart. Now, he has been trying to get either the mobile phone or a refund. He added that he will take the matter to consumer forum if the matter is not resolved properly by Flipkart.
