Oppostions question PM’s silence in Vyapam scam


New Delhi: After the Lalit Modi Visa scam, the opposition parties have questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence in Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh in which over 40 people have died till now and the case becoming mysterious with each passing day.

A CBI probe has been the demand of the Congress which has been refused by the state Government. They have also sought the resignation of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the high Profile case.

Defending his action Chouhan had said, “The High Court struck down the Congress’s demand for CBI probe and is monitoring the case itself.”

Demanding a probe by an independent body, Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “We demand a thorough investigation by an independent agency with regard to all the deaths linked with this scam.”

Question the death of Journalist Akshay Singh, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said, “How can a healthy person die all of a sudden? Akshay was a healthy person, he had no heart problems. Post-mortem should be conducted at AIIMS in New Delhi. BJP asks for a CBI probe for every case, why not in this?”

A CBI probe into the case was also demanded by the Aam Aadmi Party.
