Kharagpur: Launching a fierce attack on the Mamata Banerjee led TMC government in West Bengal PM Modi on Sunday said that the only industry witnessing growth in Bengal is ‘Bomb making’.
PM during his first poll campaign in the state, addressing a rally at Kharagpur has accused the TMC of Bengal’s misery.
“The people talking about ‘Maa, Maati and Manush’ have broken the people’s trust. Left has damaged West Bengal in 34 years, but TMC has devastated it in only 5 years.” Said PM.
“Bengal which was once the driving force of India has now become one of the most underdeveloped states in India.” PM added.
The PM also trained guns at TMC and mentioned Narada sting to highlight the rampant corruption within the party.
Blaming the rule of left and the current TMC government, Modi urged the people to vote for BJP. “Put aside your personal agenda, bias just vote for Bengal’s development.” Said the PM.
West Bengal will go to polls next month with 6.5 crore voters, who will decide the fate of hundreds of candidates. The BJP once on the rise in the state has witnessed severe infighting recently, weakening its stance.
Once foes the Left Front and Congress have joined hands in a bid to stall TMC’s victory and to somehow save themselves from extinction.
