Kolkata: Every Bengali is gearing up for the Durga Puja next week. Kolkatans celebrated its Mahalaya on Friday which hailed the period of ‘Debi Paksha’. The shoppers are busy getting their last items. Our tollywood celebrities are not lagging behind at all. After all, they also fall in the Bong community and have all the ‘special’ puja feelings just like us. One of them is renowned Tolly actress Payel Sarkar.

Payel believes that everyone has a different style statement in Puja. But she presides over the ‘comfort’ tag apart from the style statement. Thus, just like every year, this year’s puja statement is ‘Go Style With Comfort.’

Payel is almost over with her Puja shopping, but still a few junks are left to be purchased. This is the reason why she has not yet been able to decide what to wear on each day of Puja. But despite this, she has decided on her puja fashion this year.

Payel refuses to believe in the conceptual tradition that one must completely transform himself/herself into a complete Bengali during the Puja. She believes in wearing jeans, palazzo, top, skirt during these days. Payel says that since the mornings are quite hot, so she prefers wearing light-weighted clothes made out of cotton. In such a case, she loves wearing western dresses. On the other hand, one must look gorgeous in the evenings. Saree, lehenga or gorgeous salwars would support such views and plans.

Payel asks that can there be any day which is complete without jewelleries ! So jewellery is a must. But light jewellery with western dresses unlike sarees and lehengas which requires heavy jewelleries. If the dress is such, one must and can wear big earrings, a necklace, bangles. The hair can be tied at the top.

Payel will be seen in the upcoming romantic flick ‘Chocolate’ where she would play the heroine opposite Parambrata Chatterjee. Rudranil is also a part of the movie.
