One hostage killed as Rajnath calls up Raman Singh over abduction of 250 villagers

Raipur: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had a telephonic conversation with with Chattishgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh over the killing of one villager among the 250 being abducted by the Maoists before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Mao infested Dantewada.

According to reports, Rajnath called up Raman Singh to take a stock of the situation prevalent in the area post the Sukma incident.

All the villagers who were abducted by the Maoists were freed by late Saturday whereas one person was beaten to death after being tried in ‘People’s Court’.

Sukma SP D Shravan said, “Naxals killed a villager identified s Sadaram Nag by holding so-called Jan Adalat in the forests between Gaadem and Munga villages under Tongpal police station limits and released others.”

The maoists rebels abducted the residents of Marenga and some adjoining villages within Tongpal police station area on Friday night.
