One Arrested With Fake Currency in Maldah

Maldah: Cracking on the rampant fake currency racket operating in the state, police arrested one person with fake currency worth twelve thousand from West Bengal’s Maldah district.

Police following a tip off conducted a raid on Saturday in the house of one Sanaul Haq in Mathurapurhat area and seized the fake bills. Haq has been arrested and will be produced at the Maldah court on Sunday.

Police believes that the arrest will pave way to unearth a long web of fake currency operators in the state.
