New Delhi: De-hoarding operations across the states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and karnataka have resulted in seizure of 50475.25 MT pulses so far. Total 3,149 raids have been conducted by the states after the amendment in the Central Order under Essential Commodities Act. The amendment has enabled the States to impose stock limits on all types of stock of pulses. The States were exhorted to intensify action against hoarding.
As a result of action taken by the States there has been a decrease of about Rs.200 per quintal in the mandi rates of pulses in Mumbai.
