Washington: During his Presidency, Barack Obama has time and again proved that he’s a phenomenal person and knows no limits when it comes to growth. Thereby, abiding by his virtues and intrinsic beliefs, on Wednesday, he announced that he’d be proud of his daughters if they join the US Army.
He also admitted that he would be worried if they do so, but nothing should come in the way if they really want to pursue that.
A retired US Army colonel at a CNN town hall asked this question. He said, “What he would say to his daughters Malia, 18, and Sasha, 15 if they wanted to serve in the military?”
“Now, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t sometimes get nervous about possible deployments,” Obama said. “Your kids are your kids. You want to keep them tucked in their pyjamas for the rest of their lives if you had the chance.”
He further went on to explaining that how inspired he had been by the discipline and patriotism in service members he has met during his time as Commander in Chief.
