Obama lands on Indian soil


NEW DELHI: The US President has arrived at India. Along with his wife Obama lands on Indian soil. PM Modi, himself was at the airport to welcome Barack Obama. Generally, according to the protocol, a PM of a country does not go to the airport to welcome guests. But, Narendra Modi greeted the US President and his wife by visiting Palam.

On the other hand,a day before the Republic Day celebrations, Rajpath is preparing itself in full swing to display India’s true culture, heritage and patriotism to US Prez Obama.

The Rajpath has been divided into 13 zones and each zone is to be manned by a special team which will be headed by a DCP rank officer.

2000 security personnels will be guarding just the main stage where Obama will be seated. All security passes will be made at the spot so as to avoid duplication.
“Each security personnel need to be identified by his team member for the pass,” said a top officer.

Sources say that extra caution is being taken in making the passes as there are inputs that terrorist can try infiltrating using fake I’d cards.
